So I waited here all night for Destiny,
For at dusk we had a date.
She stood me up again it seems,
At times she shows up late.
I guess I can’t complain too much,
For she didn’t show me offal doom.
I just hoped she show the prospect,
Of an infinite love to bloom.
And tonight I brought a bottle,
Of red for us to share.
I thought we’d drink beside this river’s banks,
Tip our glasses without a care.
I guess she got distracted,
And forgot we made this plan.
She has been writing fate,
Since the beginning of man.
So I guess I’ll wait tomorrow,
And waste another evening on my own.
She has to show her face here soon,
For without Destiny I am alone.
