So I must say that you are welcome,
For giving you the reasons to cut our ties.
As if you didn’t love once,
What you now claim that you despise.
And I must add to it, my dear,
Your actions have been so easy to foresee.
For once you found another,
There was no need to torture me.
But see, there’s a need for complication,
Throughout everything you do.
As if you seek the puzzle piece,
That can’t fit perfectly with you.
Well I refuse to complicate you,
As you always did secretly enjoy.
No matter how desperately you beg,
No matter how intricate your ploy.
I will find pity in your pain,
But never sorrow in your adversity.
There are no solutions to your actions,
For you are self inflicting misery.
I guess my dear, our love,
Was the most delicious poison of them all.
We both indulged so frequent in this toxin,
Love happened way too fast for us to stall.
Now that I am drunk off all our pleasures,
Wobbly and seeing double sight.
It hard to find another,
Without the same old common plight.
I know that no one’s perfect,
But I want someone that will try.
And aim to make perfection,
And see perfectly eye to eye.
I am worried that I will settle,
For someone that will look down on me like you.
Who will try to change my person,
And everything I do.
But you see, my dear, I love,
Myself exactly how I come.
I am willing to make some changes,
But the key word to that is some.
I think for now I’ll wait,
And gaze blindly to the find a sign.
Try to find the puzzle piece,
That will fit perfectly with mine.
