(no subject)
i'm watching ALL THE TENNIS at the moment. emily doesn't see the point, but that's okay. she doesn't see the point of my tennis fangirling and i don't see the point of her face. it all works out. anyway i'm almost finished watching the djokovic/wawrinka match and omg, it's awesome. bitches have got stamina (and talent) in droves, yo. and even though i know that djokovic has gone through (i'm a fangirl and i had to check because that match was making me twitchy), if wawrinka had won he'd have deserved every bit of that victory. i'm rooting for djokovic to achieve his hat trick at the ao, but i have a feeling that if he makes it to the finals he's either going to go up against federer or murray. both are exceptional at tennis and could give nole a run for his money, but omg, federer and so dull on the court (to me) and murray is so very very boring (again, to me). i know he and novak have good games together, but seriously andy, crack a fucking smile.
eve started at her new school today. she was super excited about it to the point where she burst into my room this morning and shook me awake shouting 'c'mon auntie debs! i'm going to school today!' i was never that excited to go to school. ever. i think she might have been a little nervous about going somewhere unfamiliar, but when we got there she was a little more confidant than she usually is in new situations and she perked up no end when pheobe, her cousin, arrived to whisk her away and show her the ropes. we'll be picking her up soon and i can't wait to hear about her day.
in other news, i'm contemplating the merits of joining a gym and emily is thinking about thinking about maybe coming with me. all i have to do is shake off this bad back and the constant threats of the fucking thing seizing on me. aside from that, none of us are doing to bad. i think our one collective resolution this year is to stay out of each other's way and only convene when we have tea and biscuits. family unit ftw. \o/
ps. i totally had a dream about sabin fucking the ever loving shit out of an alien. it was... interesting. especially since that was neither the start nor end of his involvement in my dreams last night.
