(no subject)
um, hi!
i know i haven't been around for like, months, and that kinda sucks, but everything has finally started to slow down in Real Life and i feel like i'm starting to get my equilibrium back. i mean, okay, it seems to be just in time to be hit with that S.A.D. thing, but aside from the slight embarrassment of being afflicted with something called 'sad', i can live with it.
right now, it's snowing steadily, which means we're house-bound until tomorrow. the worst thing about living in the valleys, see, are the frigging hills. my car (because i totally have one now, \o/) simply can't get up the steep hill we need to conquer in order to reach civilisation. i've tried. so when it snows, we most just hunker down and wait for it to stop. of course, it's a bit of a pain at this time of year, given that we still need to buy all the food for christmas dinner and the stupid amount of crap we're going to snack on on christmas eve, but it's not impossible. i have to say though, the weirdest thing about having a car while it's snowing is that it kinda makes you wish the snow would bugger off. seriously, for the first time in my life, i'm hoping we don't have a white christmas.
anyway, i've been keeping up with you all as best i can (although my fic reading has pretty much died. i'm not impressed), but y'know, there are things i've probably missed during my huge bouts of sucktitude. doesn't mean i don't miss you guys though. *HUGS FOR ALL*
