Veteran's Day
Words are the tools I use to speak for myself, and to express to the whole my thoughts and emotions.
Yet words will fail, stumble if you will, in the face of respect.
Soldiers helped make this country; soldiers have helped protect this country.
They have fought for it, and died for it.
Their families have endured worry and grief so the rest of us will not have to.
Right or wrong, veterans have served us well, and words fail me.
So I say: Thank you for your service and your sacrifices.
May God bless and protect you and your families, always.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, and my gratitude, unending.
