This is fantastic. I am listening to an engaging string quartet whose dramatic and melodious chords come so well across the theater and through the floor mic. I should wake up to live music every day. There are also more children in this theater than I ever thought possible. Now that they are listening to music, there presence seems calm and un-perplexing; but when they were swarming in and making a roar of chatter, their presence was something I had not expected.
I am working a Lydian Immigration Program in the theater this morning, which to my delight turned out to be a musical performance instead of some lecture. One of the people playing violin and running the event also recognized my name from the Shakespeare group she enjoys seeing the plays of and apparently knows Walker and Plesser (the later of which has her as his world music professor).
I also was able to get into the shop this morning and starting pulling staples and fake vines out of and off of pieces of good bracing. I also created a bucket explicitly meant for scrap/dead/useless metal (like staples and broken screws) that I hope can start being used widely. I am spending my entire day in the theater today (excepting class and a meeting which I may just move into the theater), and I love it. Thank goodness I remembered my computer charger...
