hey all, lately I've been watching a lot of movies. particularly movies which I "should have seen by now" because I'm tired of being the only person who hasn't. I just got done watching pretty much every Kubrick video. tonight Mara and I watched Annie Hall which was good, and I recently saw Gone Baby Gone in theatres

You could also checkout the American Film Institute's 100 best movies of all time. They update it every 10 years and just recently did it this summer. They also have other lists for comedies, horror, etc... go to afi.com to see those. The #1 movie of all time that everyone in the film industry agrees on is Citizen Kane, so you should probably check that out. Personally, I didn't really like it, but from what I've learned in film classes, I understand what makes it a good movie and why it's "the best."

Thanks for the AFI tip, I'll check out the list. As it is I've just been browsing the winners of Best Picture from a list on wikipedia. I just rented Schindler's List but I'm waiting until Mara and I are together to watch it.
I've heard a lot of mentions of Citizen Kane. I just signed up for a Netflix 1-out, unlimited account and my profile name there is Ninwa. Anybody is welcome to look me up and add me to their friends.
