"Hey, uh, Souji?"
Souji looked up from his notes when he felt a tap on his shoulder and heard his name. Turning around and resting his arm on the back of his seat, he cocked his head a little. "Yeah?"
Yousuke fidgeted for a moment in his seat, before grinning sheepishly at him and raising a hand to rub at the back of his head. "You keep answering all the questions right during class, so... You think you could give me a hand?"
Giving him an amused look, he took his notebook from his desk and turned around to sit straddled in his seat. "All right. What are you having the most trouble with?"
Visibly perking, Yousuke flipped through his own notes before turning the (predictably orange) book around. "Er. Uhhahaha. Everything? English, especially. My grades kinda suck all around, dude. Well, maybe not as bad as Chie's..."
The girl next to him made an indignant noise, turning around in her seat and glaring at Yousuke. "You did worse than me on the last test we took!"
Ignoring their argument as it erupted, Souji simply looked through Yousuke's notes calmly. After skimming the first page, he reached back to get his pen, correcting a few grammatical issues. Letting them continue yelling at one another for a little longer, he raised a hand up to silence them.
Surprisingly, it actually worked. Maybe they really were taking the 'leader' thing seriously.
"After we rescue Yukiko," he began calmly, tapping on Yousuke's notebook with his pen. "I'm going to have you both over so you can correctly understand this."
While Yousuke took his book back to see the changes he made, Chie stuck out her lower lip. "Don't lump me in with him, Souji-kun--!"
He sighed. "Chie, I sit right next to you."
"But, but--!"
"... did I really mess up this much?"

Souji/Yousuke, Chie. April 18th. "Which of the following is a definite article?"
