book recs, anyone?

novella/short stories or novels!
i'm not very well read, so i probably haven't read what you will suggest.

i prefer plays above all mediums though.

any books by miriam toews, especially a complicated kindness. it's won a lot of awards in the past year, and with good reason.
also books by daniel handler. he writes the lemony snicket books, but his more adult/teen oriented books are lovely as well. adverbs is my favourite.

I just wrote my celtic lit exam so you're getting my copy of Dancing at Lughnasa the next time I see you =)
Want some Seamus Heaney reading material? That stuff I'd need back in January to sell back though.

i have my drama teacher's copy of lughansa in the meantime so there's no rush.
what am i doing, buying it off of you or borrowing so you can sell it back?

the seamus heaney - i might not have time if you need it for january, since i was planning on starting reading in january. recommend and i can borrow from the library.

ok, the lughnasa one - you can have it because if i try to sell it back they're only going to give me like 30 cents anyway :P
Seamus Heaney - I have the New Selected Poems and it's just a really good collection, but any one of his collections would be good to read
