question about using a foreign system
Hi. I'm not a Wii owner yet, though I may be one soon, so please excuse me if there's something obvious that I'm ignorant about.
I currently live in Japan, but I may be returning to the U.S. in a few months. If I do, I'm thinking about bringing back a Japanese system with me so I can play Karaoke Joysound Wii. From what I understand, to access the full library of songs, you pay with Wii points, and then the songs stream via internet. I know that I would need to use Japanese points, but my question is: will the songs stream even though my internet connection is not originating from Japan, or is internetting also region-locked? If anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!
