Enter the 3DS. End of the DS?

On Valentine's Day, we'll see the completion of the Zenithia trilogy with the release of Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation. (Realms of Reverie in Europe.)

On March 6th, we'll have even more new Pokemon in the Black and White Versions.

But on March 27th, the new console Nintendo 3DS will be released. Two colors: Cosmo Black and Aqua Blue. Pre-order prices are around $250. (The former price of the Wii interestingly.) And the features are best explained on the Nintendo site.

So far, games available for pre-order for the 3DS (from Gamestop.com and Amazon.com) include Super Street Fighter IV, Nintendogs + Cats, Madden NFL Football, Super Monkey Ball, The Sims 3, Resident Evil: Mercenaries, Pilotwings Resort, Dead or Alive Dimensions, and LEGO Star Wars III. Prices for most of these games are $40 each, some are $50.

So is anyone buying? Anyone waiting? Anyone not interested?

I also wonder if there will be any more major game releases after Pokemon B&W for the DS consoles. Will there be...?

street fighter, 3ds, pokemon, dragon quest
