A/N: Hello guys! It’s been a while now and well, since our school year is about to end…and well I’m just plainly bored today, I wrote this one-shot for you. I hope you haven’t forgotten about me yet! ^^
Walking through the hallways of Tokyo Gakuen high school, Kazuya was in search of his beloved senior, Akanishi Jin. Jin is the current soccer captain and also the head of the school’s debate team. He’s also the president of their class, 4-A handling the smartest people in school. And well, basically, every girl wanted to be with him…but that’s what he knows. He knew Kazuya since they were in kindergarten, starting as enemies when Jin accidentally took his lunch box when they were playing outside along with the other kids at the playground, not noticing that they have the same bento box. But after that day, things changed and they became close friends.
“Kazuya!” Maru yelled running towards him, Kazuya stopped and looked back.
“Ah~ Nakamaru-sempai,” Kazuya bowed “do you need me?” he added. Maru panted, trying to catch his breath. He placed his hand on Kazuya’s shoulder and gulped.
“Anou~ how should I say this….” Kazuya raised his brow,
“You can just tell me directly…” Kazuya said.
“Jin…Jin’s courting someone.” Kazuya’s mind went on blackout. He never knew Jin liked someone, especially in his busy schedule. He felt his heart break into pieces slowly, hearing it fall piece by piece…it was just too…sudden.
“Kazuya…Kazuya!” Maru yelled again, snapping his fingers in front of his face. Kazuya returned back to reality.
“Ho-how did you kn-know?”
“Of course, Jin told me.” Maru said. Nakamaru’s the co-captain of the soccer team, and also Jin’s best friend and well, since Kazuya hangs out with Jin and Jin hangs out with Nakamaru, they got close too…a little bit to close.
Kazuya sighed and leaned to the wall. “What do I do?” he whispered.
“I suggest you make a move?...fix yourself?...others things?” Maru said.

Until the end of the day, Kazuya was still thinking about the news Maru said. He didn’t listen to any of the classes he attended; he just scribbled stuff in his notebook just so that he won’t be in trouble. He sighed again, walking past the empty soccer field. He sat on the ground and set down his bag beside him. He looked at the clam sky and closed his eyes. Suddenly he felt someone sit beside him, he didn’t bother opening his eyes he just let the person be there.
“Oh hey look it’s a turtle shaped cloud!” the familiar voice said and Kazuya laughed opening his eyes.
“Hi Jin.” Kazuya smiled and so did Jin.
“What’s up little bro. You didn’t wait for me earlier. I thought you hated me already since I suppose Nakamarad said I was courting someone…” Kazuya looked away, not again, he said in his mind.
“Kazuya…” Jin placed his arm on the latter’s shoulder. “Don’t worry your place won’t be replaced my her. I promise.” Jin said calmly and Kazuya nodded.

Still thinking about the Jin-having-a-girlfriend topic really bothered Kazuya. He can’t focus properly. All that is in his mind is Jin, Jin, Jin and more Jin. He faced his pillow and screamed into it. Tears started to flow from his eyes out of frustration, its just too unfair.
I suggest you make a move?...fix yourself?...other things?
Maru’s voice echoed through his frustrated mind, stopping his actions slightly.
“That’s it!” Kazuya said to himself. “I’m going to prove to him tomorrow that no girl would replace me.”

Everyone started looking at Kazuya, girls turn their heads again just to see him, just to make sure. His classmates didn’t recognize him at first look; it took them a couple of minutes of staring before they recognize him. Was this plan really effective? His girl classmates started talking to him, started flirting with him and stuff but he didn’t entertain. He just talked to them casually until they get bored with him. Yeah, great plan.
He didn’t go to school with Jin today, he wanted him to worry at least, and check upon him sooner or later. Recess came, Kazuya went out of their classroom and went to his locker. He saw Jin walking down the stairs along side Maru, he looked down and kept walking. He felt Maru stop in the middle of his track, eyes definitely on him. Kazuya reached his locker and turned the knob to open his locker. He heard Jin’s voice from a far,
“Nakamarad! Why are you still there?!” he shouted, he sounded quite pissed. Reason, he dosen’t know.
“You go ahead! I’ll follow you in a min.” he shouted back. Kazuya gulped, got his books and closed the locker. He felt Maru walk towards him, he turned his back and walked fast but Maru caught up with him since he’s used to walking fast, duh. Soccer.
“Kazuya?” Maru held his arm and turned Kazuya to face him. “Wow…wow… looking good aren’t we? I like your hair. Thank God you fixed it.” He chuckled. “Oh, and is that perfume?” he sniffed, “Its nice.”
Kazuya smiled.
“Thanks Maru. Uhm…about Jin, uh…why does he sound…furious?”
“Oh…uh… yeah about that. He got…kind of pissed with the girl…”
“Eh? What happened?” Kazuya questioned, Maru shrugged.
“No one knows. When I got here he was already like that. I have the feeling he’s having a bad day.”
“Oh…should I talk to him then? Just to make sure…” he trailed of and Maru chuckled.
“Go, I bet he’ll like your new look today.” Kazuya punched him lightly before going back to his classroom to return his books.

Kazuya went to the soccer field in a hurry since he knows Jin’s temper. If he gets too full of it, he tends to do stuff. He ran as fast as he can and reached the soccer field. He saw Jin in the middle of the field with a soccer ball, ready to kick a goal. Kazuya stood there from a far and watched Jin kick the ball but it bounced back the goal pole that made Jin more pissed. Jin kneeled down and it was time for Kazuya to comfort him. He ran to the center of the field and kneeled beside Jin.
“Go away, I don’t want to talk to anyone.” Jin said.
“No Jin, I’ll stay with you no matter what.” Kazuya said while patting Jin’s back slowly.
“I just… argh what am I going to do with her?”
“If she doesn’t like you then…you can’t do anything. It’s not like you have to change yourself just for her to like you. There are a lot of girls, Jin. There are…a lot who someday you’ll end up with…” Kazuya said. He felt his heart sink, the things he said to Jin is what exactly he’s doing to get noticed by him. With Jin’s head still down, he messed up his hair just so it would be the same as before.
“Change doesn’t affect a person’s perspective…” Kazuya whispered as he hugged Jin tightly.
“This is the first time I heard you speak like this Kazuya…you’ve turned into a better man. More than me.” Jin said, releasing the hug. Kazuya chuckled,
“Not really.”
“Say what, want to go out later? Just the two of us.” Jin said.

“Okay then.” Kazuya smiled and offered his hand to Jin and Jin gladly took it and intertwine his fingers with his.
