MFM report
Headed down a day early after a small delay with my dentist, picked up Razerz and headed to my Bunny's place. Trip down was pretty uneventful, although we did stop at a target in Cape Girardeau and bought Raz a swimsuit for the hottub and I found some nice shirts and then it was a small adventure to find bubblebath. Finally found some, apparently its called Foaming Bath something or nother. Oh it was also one of the Targets that are allowed to sell alcohol, so got some last minute items, including a nice bottle of Jager for my bunbun, cause he loves it :P
Arrived down in Memphis and ate. Bauske had already arrived at the Buns, and we chatted. Tigerpaw and Kanu arrived later. Played some poker and drank rest of the night.
Friday morning, got a pretty late start, loaded up the car again and headed to the hotel. Got checked in, and unloaded. We got ourselves registered and said hi to Rama. Raz headed to the dealer's den while I went to set up the suite a lil bit. I browsed the Den and Alley some, but mostly just mingled, hung out with Cog and got room ready as rest of the roomies trickled in. The room consisted of Myself, Raz, Rez, Gorath, EvilAndy and Cavram. Matthias and Bauske was around most of the time, but stayed at his place. Rozbrek popped in later and partied with us. So did Vetiver, although couldn't get him to drink this awesome macadamia nut liquor. Saw Spooki and Biddy and talked good stuff with them.
Lots more friends and good people dropped by, love seeing everyone. We had a pretty decent bar this year, much more mixers. Aswell as Confused brought some too. And he sung "one of these things are not like the other" about our Mad Dog 20/20 banana strwberry (which I used in a mix to make great bubblegum drink). We had better beers and more choices thanks to Raz's work. We did forget the Lambic though, but we persevered. We had a good deal of booze brought over by friends too, which I am very thankful for, that stuff gets expensive.
So, gathering and small party and lots of poker on friday night, and everyone was up again around 10:30, 11 next day for more fun. Sat was much the same, and I had my poker tournament later in the evening, which I won. yay! Big thanks to everyone who came down and cheered me on at the end So my registration for next years MFM is all taken care of, with super sponsorship plus some other nice prizes. It did take a long time though, and after trying to find certain friends I promised to spend time with, I ended up back in the room and joined the party. Rez and Raz snuck back in to the room early in the morning expecting to find everyone passed out but we were all still drinking and in the hottub :P
Sunday was fun, Razerz helped me collect my prizes and I bought a ton of books from Furplanet, to catch up on my reading. Evening we ended up in Roz's room and shifted back to our room. Playing Kings and attacked by a giant Hamtoro. People came and went and hottub was used again, and went on till early morning. Was a great time. My bunny love is so cute when he is drunk. Cog got everyone crazing Blu cigs, the electronic cigs, I want some too. And that was about it. Good times
Checkout was monday, then hit up sushi, myself and Raz stuck around another day while everyone else headed out. Trip back tuesday was filled with our own little adventures ranging from truck of high explosive gases, to weighed down watermelon truck, pacing each in the rain for pictures. To rest stops that are either closed or have no water while the bladder got angry. To Redneck Bp where only grafitti was anti-middle east and Obama.
And then we made it back safe and sound. I myself head head back to work tonight. But its been a great week.
So the Con was fantastic as normal. Spent a good deal up in the room, having friends over, little parties, lil drinking. I didn't go wild on art this year, but do have several items out being worked on. And I have a finished pic by Dook and Spooki I'll have to scan later. Aswell as a sweet pic Raz did for me and Bunny. So big thank you to everyone. TC, Rama, Wolfpaws and MFM crew. Raz for driving with me and being awesome, And all my friends, love you all, everyone at the parties, all the new people I met. Good times. Everyone have a great one!
