To celebrate finishing up a sketchbook after 7 months of diddling and being a bum, I lugged out the scanner and beat it to submission. This sketchbook was cursed, so! Good riddance.

Oh, Butler, you are a doll and I adore you. ♥

I don't think you repeat yourself! Or, well, if you do it's because my work tends to fall into the same patterns. Experimental poses, line work, mix media, etc. But it's still nice, because that's just my style, and it's good that it's constant and still has the ability to impress someone. So I'm way happy at what you point out. Honest. And that gymnast makes my back hurt. How the hell do they do it? Dancers too. I watch and watch and it boggles my mind, the human body and how people can really use it and bend it and stretch it. Wonderful!

Scribble people! I like that. I am partial to them, too. I especially like scribbling bicyclist! Glimpse expressions, makes drawing them a challenge of line. Not that...uploaded them. Hopefully my next sketchbook will serve me better. I hope. *crosses fingers*

It was curse as in it made it bloody hard to get through the pages. It had a tainted beginning, you see, and we never got over that hurdle. Still through great struggle something something something virtue something /end quote.

Heh, nah, I know how you feel, it's all good. I surrender to your praise, madam, with no complaint. :)

:DDDD Mutual.

♥ As for the gymnast...I have no idea. They are conditioned into it, I think. Molded from youth. It reminds me, I did gymnastics when I was little, but I got scared of flipping over the bar, so I rebelled. Yeah. I was so cool, running to my mom. Haha. Now I am a lazy slob who does nothing all day. If I had kept up with it, at least I could have been a lazy slob doing nothing all day with the occasional flip over a bar thrown in there.... ;p Great party trick! Alas...

I think it would be awesome to see some huge crowd scene with those scribble people. A zoo, perhaps. Scribble people and buildings and trees and animals. /cough.

Maybe my sketchbook is cursed then, too. Haha! That is my opinion, and I'm sticking to it. What sort of tainted beginning, though, if I can ask? Some water spill or drop in a puddle, maybe? Or just the feel of it? Sometimes it's weird, how things don't feel completely copacetic from the get-go, like it's almost an aura sort of deal, but such is life...

♥ It's a battle well won.

:D

Oh, cool! That you had a brief time in gymnastics! And it would make a cool party trick. :D You could've taken a part time as a superhero...or villain. XD

Cough indeed. ;p But that does sound like a wonderful idea. It's funny because I was thinking today that I needed to go to the zoo for some sketches. IT'S FATE.

The sketchbook was started for a final class assignment and after the class was done it was very hard to step away from that origin. I could have kept with the theme (label drawing) but I wasn't interested in that, and it became a battle of content. Boo. ;p But yeah! Dude, sketchbooks totally have vibes. You have the friendly ones, the one that only want pen, and the ones that weren't meant for your hands at all. -sigh-

Hey, I am totally in the mood for superheroes and villains. Now I regret not taking gymnastics even more! Oh woe is me! (hahaha) No capes or utility belts for this kid...

It is fate. Can't deny it. ;D

Ah, I see. I hope your next one is better suited! (which reminds me, have you started a new one yet? or taking a little rest before you dive into a new adventure?)

I did start a new one, for words. Poetry is the focus of Summer as my friend and I dash to finish our book. We'll see if we make it. But! I did start a little zine about going to concerts and things, audio-biographical. So far I have one tiny page... What about you? Knowing about your curse sketchbook, will you start another one for the Summer? Maybe sketch some spandex-clad super ables, do detours for alien adventures far from the light of our sun, little images of pen-creations? :D

Oh awesome! Your words are always so lovely and poetic, so I hope that sketchbook doesn't get cursed, too. ;D And haha, I wanted to finish that small sketchbook first before moving on, but I never even open it anymore...ah well. I am drawing ugly things lately (/all the time), anyway, so maybe it's for the best.
