It's true; I don't- -I pretty much just use LJ to communicate with fellow SDB writers, for MtYG and coordinating Camp Sparkle...c'est la vie.
Well, Ima change that, with this post (yaye.)
I'm just posting this to announce a tabletop RPG (Role-Playing Game) I'm developing, just using LJ as one more electronic avenue to get awareness out there. Yes, that awareness is really only going to be through people who are already my LJ friends (presuming any of them still follow me anymore, since I really don't use this much...), but maybe they'll link other people to it, or talk about it on their blogs/facebook accounts/tumblrs/whatever...that's how this whole social media thing works, amirite?
ANYWAY, I'm developing a narrative-focused urban fantasy RPG: I WAS A TEENAGE CREATURE. Think of shows like Teen Wolf, Buffy & Angel, even Charmed and Supernatural. What keeps viewers coming back to these shows every episode, is it the monster of the week? No, it’s the angst and drama of the main characters’ lives as they deal with the paranormal shinola hitting the fan, as well as all the other young adult stresses.
In I WAS A TEENAGE CREATURE, you play a character who could star on that type of show. It doesn’t matter how strong your werewolf is, or how fast his vampire is, or how beautiful her fae is...what matters is how each of these characters feel, why they are doing something, not just how capable they are of doing it. If this sounds like a game you’d like to own, please help raise awareness through the social media of your choice. IWATC will be coming to KickstarterTM in early 2017; see site for details.
