Well, apparently giraffes are relevant to ninjas and pirates. This is why free association is dangerous.

This is how I think it happened:

1. Someone found that "Pirates and Global warning" graph
2. Everybody thought it was OMGZ111 TEH FUNNIEST THING EVAAAAA!! And posted the damn thing like, thirty times.
3. Someone posted a picture of an ass.
4. Twice.
5. Then we realized: "Hey! 'Graph' rhymes with 'Giraffe'! LOLOLOLOL! So everyone started posting pictures of giraffes, graphs, etc.
6. The community dried up like a grape left out in the sun.

Hey at least it meant people were posting again. And we all need a smile right now. Why not giraffes?
