On my ride into work (at 11:30), I called my dad @ work, and found out that he wasn't in the office. In trying his cell, my mom answered.
Last night my (3rd) cousin, Marsha Rubin, passed away. She was diagnosed with breast cancer about 10 years ago. For a long while, she was in remission, until very recently when it came back and spread quickly.
Yesterday, she lost the battle, and was laid to rest today in NY.
They say that the weather can tell a lot about how the universe "responds" to someone passing. The day my paternal grandmother was buried, it POURED. And it's supposedly the angles crying that our world has lost a very good person. Today (and the day my maternal grandfather passed), it was sunny - not a cloud in the sky. And that is supposedly the relief that the person is finally freed from pain.
Obviously, it's a coping thing that us meat puppets came up with. Maybe. But it helps.
