homespunhelpers has been doing a drive in honor of team Dust Devil's smashing win this summer, making preemie items to send with JD when he goes for trainning at the hospital Antball was born in.
This is the latest group to arrive.
Oh my goodness when I saw the sweaters I first though "OHH HOW CUTE!!" and then what a slacker I am for not having tried to make one. Alas, the guilt of that only lasted about 2 minutes as I know it's waisted energy, I still won't figure it out. Maybe one day, but not anytime in the next 12 months I would think.
Baahaha! *eye twitch*
But they are so cute!! Really! Yeaaa!
I thought I said I would keep better track of my stuff. Well I didn't!
Here it is now a week late...
Happy to say though I finally got around to using some of the crazy yarn soapfaerie sent! *claps hands*
She sent the darker blue.
See in my head I thought I might save at least $15 if I sent Jeff to buy yarn instead of going myself. I give him $5 and say "Just buy any yarn that's baby yarn."
"Any yarn?"
"As long as it's for babies, yeah."
"Doesn't matter what color?"
"No, I'll use it anyway."
"Baby yarn?"
"They usually have a baby on the wrapper."
"Doen't matter if it's for a boy or girl?"
"...or it's baby colors."
"Baby yarn?"
"Whatever baby yarn you think looks nice."
I didn't think about that crazy boucle yarn. hahaha!!! He came in with a HUGE roll of that light blue and the second my eyes saw it I though. "Oh no why didn't I think to tell him no crazy yarn!" but I smiled and laughed told him thank you it was perfect. I took it as a sign I should finally get around to working with that yarn.
Since I last tried it I've probably made 175 baby outfits so I'm pretty good at the pattern after all, should matter that this yarn is almost impossible to see stiches when your working it. Doesn't matter if you sometimes can't tell if your splitting the yarn. Doesn't matter if I can't even see what row I'm on when working the mittens and hats. *twitch* I've made more then 200 outfits, I should be able to do this yarn now! Yeaaa I was right! UGH!
