I've been wondering what's going on with the preemie stuff I gave JD.  I was going to ask him again last week but then he called one night to speak with Anthony.  Anthony gave me the phone and JD was sounding pretty upset

Certainly hope the young man is okay. How scary. A boy I knew back in high school suffered a stroke at the age of 16. It seems he's okay now, yet it certainly was unexpected and shocking.

We've actually had two high school students die from sudden heart attacks at competitions or practice in the past five or six years, and one of my son's 19 year-old friends had a sudden heart attack at college last month. I'm not sure if it is becoming a more common occurrence, or if it is just that undiagnosed genetic heart issues are on the rise. I know the school physical was quite a joke, but it does the part of covering them from any legal liabilities.

Anyway, hope this teen continues to recover -- he and his family will be in our prayers. What a nightmare for that poor mother. I can't even imagine...

They where first thinking that maybe he drank a few rockstar energy drinks. JD said those things can "Dehryadate you at the cellular level" and that for that reason lots of kids are having heart attacks.

Those drinks are so nasty I don't know why everyone loves them.
