(no subject)
i just spent the past hour filling out an application to become a sexual health peer educator. next i am going to print out the application for the museum of health science and send a thank you email to the coordinator to tell her how grateful i am for the oportunity.
I must say that im very proud of myself lately. I really have been attempting to apply myself. and although i have yet to taste the fruit of my labor at least im putting out that effort and still be hopeful.
this weekend has been nice. saturday was forty acres fest and i volunteered in the morning for my premed organization.forty acres was really fun. i love going to it, trying to get free stuff and interacting with all the organizations, meeting people and friends and have a general good time. i was told by man people that im too popular and i kept diagreeing. it just a coincidental moment that people i knew were around. i won a plant and a shirt at the festival. mark lost my plant, bastard. its okay i would have killed it or something. after my shift i went to amys first waterpolo game (late so i only caught the second half). i enjoyed watching amy play and i hope to watch kacie play that is probably not very likely. amy lied however and the mens waterpolo was not playing that week. so i didnt get to see how hot the mens teams were. after amys game we went back to the festival to show amy around. she was generally sort of impressed but the festival was sort of dead at that time so i dont blame her if she found it boring. we walked around and hung out for a bit and mark went to work in the art building and amy went back to the swim center to prep for the next game. i was supposed to go to my lab and innoculate a few bacterial cultures but then julian my old roomate called and we hung out. it was really cool jsut hanging out with him and i miss being with him everyday. saw amys last game of the day and then we went to dinner and then end the night at marks house. mark and i watched marie antoinette and i must say that the move was excellent. not just pretty but excellent. those french people are bitches and they have won my heart. so the day ended for mark and amy but i went off to fatimas to celebrate our friends, anjali, birthday party and congratulate her on her recent succes (she went to chicago and recieved a prestigious award) with wine and cheese.
i woke up this morning and went to amys second game but only caught the first period. i then left to my soft ball game for my premed thing. we won the match because the other team forfeit (the team didnt arrive on time) which thank god because although we were playing against a sorority those girls have alot of macho male friends that i was not happy to play with. (one guy was sexy and athletic but i thought nothing much more.) after the game i sat around for a bit and ended up taking a three hour nap. i feel bad cause now i havent done anything this weekend in terms of work. so i must do as much as i can today. im not behind but i do have work i that wish to complete.
