[ Akira is spending one of his infrequent moments of free time in his garden. It seems he might have bumped the Hitomi on from its resting place nearby while grabbing a drawing implement. Though it's no substitute for the utility of a simple sketchbook and pencil, he has paper stretched over a small plank of wood and several pieces of home-made charcoal of varying firmness to serve the same purpose. There's a smudge of charcoal dust on his cheek, and his fingers are a mess with the stuff. Just as he carefully executes a delicate detail, the piece of charcoal breaks and crumbles in his fingers. ]
