identity theft is something that pops up in fiction every once in a while. The Talented Mr. Ripley is the first example that comes to mind. never thought I'd encounter someone targeted by this.
a friend of mine, Lorra, recently found out about this blog by someone claiming to be her. it eventually escalated to using her name on forums and message boards. possibly other things we don't know about. we have no clue yet who's responsible.
