I usually end up sleeping on a table, or in a pet bed. It's been so long since I've had a real human-sized one.

It's habit, more than anything else, is the thing. When I was... about nine, I spent a rather life-shaping six months with a girl in this world. I was living on her desk as a ferret for so long that it's more relaxing to sleep in that form than my normal form.

...I suppose that sounds really weird, doesn't it?

Imagine a library that's so big, you can't see the walls of it. Or sometimes the cieling, or even the floor. Imagine every book you could think of, filed away in endless spirals, all like trees in a wood.

That sounds amazing. ... Seems like it'd be difficult to shelve the books, though.

Not as big as you'd think. Even though the place is so big I've been organising it for years. Before I came along things were so neglected...

Only a few. They come and go... I think I've been there the longest. It's not an incredibly glamorous position. More people in the TSAB do field work like this... I ended up coming here because the assumption that was there was some sort of lost technology keeping this place going, so I was supposed to identify it.
