snow!!
I tell ya, whatever higher power is out there in this universe is having a good laugh at me this morning. I don't drive in the snow. I just don't. As time goes on, I get more confident in my driving skills, and less confident in other people's. Either they creep along like they've never seen snow before, or they feel that this white stuff on the ground and flying through the air shouldn't affect their driving style at all, and go flying down the highway at 70mph when it's snowing so hard you can't see the lanes.
But anywho, it was supposed to snow last night. It didn't. Ok, then, I can drive Mags to school. As soon as we get to the school, it starts snowing. Just a little flurry, no biggie, I can get home before it starts accumulating. Nope. As we drop her off, it starts snowing harder. By the time I got home, the ground was completely covered. Aidan was thrilled. Mommy, not so much. I hate that turn onto our street. ugh. I gotta go salt the sidewalk. Which brings up another rant--
Why can't you find just plain salt to be used to melt snow in the stores any more??? All I can find is chemically stuff with more warnings than most prescription drugs! Which might be fine to use out on the sidewalk, but on the porch and driveway, where the dogs walk, and try to eat anything that doesn't eat them first, I think NOT. I did find salt, after going to 2 stores last night. In 25lb bags. My back is not happy. But I have salt!
