This makes me sad: They've gotten Caboodle Ranch shut down and are pressing charges against the guy who runs it.

There's a petition to free him. I've never been there in person, so I have to rely on second-hand information, but frankly I'm inclined to believe the articles I've read about it and the bits I've seen on TV over what PETA claims.

PETA are a bunch of asshats that prefer to euthanize animals rather than see them 'enslaved' by humans, i.e. kept as pets. The adoption rate at the shelters PETA runs is now down below 7%.

As I have said elsewhere, PETA doesn't love animals, they hate humans... seriously. I read a piece on their board of directors a number of years ago and several of them were in favor of human extinction. Not zero population growth, they were actively advocating the extermination of the human race.
