Anyway, if anyone noticed I was missing: our DSL modem died about 2am Thursday morning. The replacement just arrived. So, I'm back. I was pretty worried it wouldn't come until Monday or even Tuesday, but hurrah, I am reconnected.
Being forcibly offline is very unpleasant.
