Cool things that happened today.
Cool things that happened today:
1) A lady who travels around fitting and selling specialty bras sidled over and handed me her brochure. This is cool because I only have one bra left, it's in danger of losing a strap, and I had no idea where I was going to find a new one without flying down to SoCal.
2) I saw Heather Alexander perform, and she was quite good. Even if the bit at the end after she left the stage went on a bit long.
3) I totally got hit on and propositioned. :D He was pretty cute, too. ...no, I didn't take him up on it...
4) I unexpectedly found penghuin! Seeing as it had been almost a decade since we last saw each other, that was awesome. We chatted a lot and caught up on what other people've been up to (mostly he caught me up, because I don't keep in touch so well), and I dragged him up to...
5) naudiz's semi-wake for her dad and uncle, which was in our room, and the other half of which was just a friendly party of the booze-jokes-and-stories variety. It was an exceedingly pleasant night, and I failed to finish my drink but I think I did get a little tipsy. Then again, I do tend to get ambient highs off the people around me, so it's hard to be sure. Either way I had some trouble operating my cellphone. ...to add a number, not make a call. I wasn't THAT (allegedly) tipsy.
6) Unlike the girl in the room across from ours, who returned while penghuin and I were exchanging numbers, and almost slid onto the floor while trying to open her door. It was hilarious.
7) I got a lot of hugs.
Meanwhile, penghuin and I have decided the following are good band names:
Pantheistic Solipsism,
The Lorax in Amber,
and especially
Meatheart.
I think I might be forgetting a couple. Oh, well... perhaps they'll come to me later.
