Political Stuff

I said I'd write about political stuff, but I lost the motivation. However, I'm getting sick of people's ignorent shit, so I've regained the motivation. I am, however, tired and drunk, so we'll see if this works out ( Read more... )

Frankly, fuck the environment. I don't say that because I don't care about our planet, but because I realize the gigantic nature of the problem. Trying to save the planet with recycling is like a 400 pound man trying to lose weight by switching to diet coke. Most of the big hot button enviromental issues are no more then another way of staying in sweet ignorence of the problem, while pretending like something is being done. Most recycling, for example, costs more in resources then it saves.

I remember a friend telling me that even if huamsn fuck up the Earth and we all die, it'll just fix itself up given enough time.

And, I really wasn't thinking of recycing and whatnot. More like the ozone and air pollution. I know I've read articles where Bush doesn't support other alternative methods of power for like transportation other than gas. There is electrical cars and whatnot. However, I have heard that making facilities for that would also somehow create pollution on its own so there goes that. We can't always rely on solar power (depending on what part fo thew orld you're from also).

One more thing...concerning the lies and whatnot. Then what about the falsified documents that Suddam was attempting to get Uranium from an African country (which I cant' remember at this moment. ><;)? Someone had to lie about that. Oo; Unless that was a lie, but there were different sources that said otherwise.

Certainly, mother nature is very good at balance itself out. It will survive. However, when mother nature does balance itself out, it doesn't tend to do so in a nice and freindly manner. The problem is, if we do not make some serious changes to our entire culture as a planet, our generation will get the privledge of watching our race go extinct. Our society functions in a way that is ultimately self-defeating, and by all estimations, it's going to catch up with us real soon. It goes way beyond even air pollution and greenhouse gasses. Certainly, the world is not going to end tommorow, but there is a concept called 'critical mass' that we'd be prudent to consider. There's a certain point at which it's too late to fix anything. We haven't gotten there, but we'll be there in a few decades.

I completely agree there.

You mean like when the Earth goes through periods of extreme cold and hot climates for LONG periods of time?
