Kiba comes to first to mind. He's pretty straight forward, and he loves animals.

Naruto. He'd be a good complement to your Sai-like emotional...er..."handicap". He is the king of caring and NOT beating around the bush. I think he would make a devoted partner. He does bring out the best in Sai, after all.
