Thanks Noah for giving us the themes of GITS SAC (+ 2ndGIG?). I already watched the first three episodes long time ago of 1stGIG, but I stopped watching any further. The show is very talky and 'complex', which is not a bad aspect. I was young, but I hopefully can handle this now.
I have to agree what duanewatson said. This kind of review should be done more often. Not only can you win a new audience for a complex show like (insert show here), you also learn about themes you overlooked. Therefore, thank you very much, Noah, for enlightening us!
Noah, you said that you took a lot of research and that you have lots of show notes for GITS SAC (+ Black Lagoon?). When will you put the show notes on the web site?
I am looking forward to listening to the Black Lagoon episode. ;-)
P.S.: Thanks Erin for the the Avatar review. I am attending secondary school and we are currently reading 'The Lord of the Flies'. It is interesting to see the complete opposite of what we I am currently reading, this myth of a noble savage as opposed to ignoble savage. I have only seen 'Dances with Wolves' (1990), therefore it is time for me watching Avatar.

Wow, I'm so happy the reaction to these shows has been so positive. I absolutely agonized posting them for months and months (particularly the first episode). I managed to put it off for a year before Erin got so tired of nagging me about it she just put them up. I'm glad everyone enjoyed them!
Notes with references will be forthcoming. I've certainly had enough time to whip them into shape!
