OMG IT LOOKS SO AMAZING
This was my first fandom, years before there were movies and years before I knew there was such a thing as fandom, you guys. I love it with a disturbingly pure love, and Martin Freeman as Bilbo pretty much fulfills every dream I have ever had. And the Dwarves, and the singing gives me chills, and it is all so gorgeous and foreboding and I just cannot even.
WHY IS IT NOT NEXT DECEMBER YET.
Small, friendly word of warning here: yes, I have read LOTR, the Hobbit, the Silmarillion, and Unfinished Tales. No, I do not in fact slash anyone in this fandom, and I am fairly attached to the canon het pairings. If you get me started, I will absolutely go on at length about the appendices, the cultures, and the actual chronology of Middle-earth, because yes, in this one particular fandom I am very much a canon whore. Um. Do not get me started.
