A few months ago, I decided to start putting 'stars' on the entries. So, I'm using asterisks. 1-5, 5 being the best.
And, yes, JD = Jack Daniels. I know it's a bourbon, but it's my 'I have no idea what you have, and it doesn't look appealing' drink when I'm traveling or want to drink cheap... So, if it isn't better than that, eh!
**Abelour 10 year - Interesting, chocolate cherry scent, earthy taste
*** Ardbeg 10 (?) - nice, smoky, light
****Balvenie double wood 12 - woodsy, cedar, smooth sweetish
Bowmore 17 - good!!
*** Bowmore Cask Strength -- Nice! Peat-y. Smokey.
**** Bowmore Legend -- Nice! Smokey. Strong scent. Smooth
*** bushmills - dry, smooth
****Caol Ila 12 year - smoky++, top 3.
Cardhu - not bad, kinda sweet
*Chivas Regal 10 - ehh, sweet, buttery, not worth it
** Cragamore (Craigamore ?) 12 yr - crisp, chocolatly, light, slightly
grassy.
Dalmore 12 - not bad, highland
**Dalmore Cigar Malt - Smells like tequila, has a slightly port-y taste.
Not all that great. + Chocolate, pretty darn good... Makes *awesome*
rusty nails
Dalwhinnie 15 - inland, good!
* Dewars White Label -- Ehhh... almost rotgut, no complexity
****Finlaggan Old Reserve - Isly, "peat smoke and seaweed" (Ith)... smoky
yet crisp
Glen Ord - Grassy, no. Icky!
***Glenfiddich 12 - highland, notes of freshness, pear, subtle oak. Crisp,
slightly sweet aftertaste. Nice non-smoky taste
Glenfiddich special reserve 12 year - ehh, okay in rusty nails. Try again
for better notes
**Glengoyne 12 year not really any taste, slight caramel aftertaste
Glenlivet 12 year- kinda like JD, light-ish, crisp, slightly sour
aftertaste, spey
*** glenlivet 18 yr - pretty good, bit above JD, crisp, dry-ish
Glenmorangie 12 sherry cask - really good!
Glenmorangie 18 - not bad almost too smoky - try again
***Glenkinchie 10 yr - smooth with strigent aftertaste
**Glenrothes 1987 - Tangy, a bit tart... Not bad, middle of the road.
**Glenrothes 1991 - Sweet, airy… Eh... Maybe a little two sweet.
**Glenrothes Select Reserve - Slightly smoky, light. Not bad, not great.
***Highland Park - Orkney, good, above Talisker, Top 5, Not as good as
Scapa, but close
***Isle of Jura Superstition - very nice. slightly smoky
**J&B - Step above Jack. Sweet aftertaste
**Johnnie Walker Black - Not bad, JD ish
****Johnnie Walker Blue - *Very* smooth, nice! Light smoke, Top 5
***Johnnie Walker Gold - Nice
**Johnnie Walker Red - Not bad, JD class, smoky, bacon-ish
***Lagavulin 16 - Island - good! Bacon, 2nd try - about the same, not as

***Laproaig - island, smoky, good, step below Caol Ila. Smoky yet smooth
**Lismore - not bad, no real taste, slightly smoky aftertaste, Spey
Macallan 12 - sweet, maple, spey
***Macallan 25 - sweet, slighty tangy, sudtle maple, spey
***Oban 14 yr - floral, woodsy, touch of caramel
***Origine 12 year - slightly dry, crisp aftertaste. Top 10. (1st = gift

***Pride of Orkney, 12 year - light smoke, Crisp, not bad, slightly
scapa-ish (1st = trial size from Roberta)
*****Scapa, 12 year - Ooooo! Current Ultimate Favorite!
****Scapa, 14 year - Mellow, light, a lot like Scapa 12 year
Sheep Dip - So So
***Singleton 12 year - sweet yet tart after, light, woody and honey scent

** Speyburn 10 year - Not bad, a bit honey-tasting. Good in rusty nails
*St George Single Malt - Not bad. Licorice-like. Eh...
**Suntory Single Malt Whisky "Yamazaki" 12 year - not bad, slightly sweet

***Talisker - island, not bad
Tobermory 10 - good, delicate, smoky after
Tomintoul, 16 year - tangy, slightly smokey. midrange
