So, I was watching the season premiere of House with
ithidrial tonight, and we got to the end of the episode.
Well, I made her rewind the episode a bit during the last scene.
I'll put it behind a lj-cut in case who-ever reads this hasn't seen the episode...
So, House is faking a prescription for Vicodin using Wilson's prescription pad.
Well, he wrote Vicodin ES 5-500
Guess what?
Take that prescription to a pharmacy, especially the phramacy I work at, and they'll have to call the doctor to verify the prescription.
See, Vicodin is 5-500 (5mg of hydrocodone and 500 mg of ibuprofen) while Vicodin ES is 7.5-750 (7.5mg of hydrocodone and 750mg of ibuprofen). So, the pharmacy filling the prescription should call the doctor to ask if he meant ES or 5-500mg...
I saw that and told Ith to rewind. When I saw it again, I said "HAH! He technically couldn't get that filled!"
So, is it a goof on the hands of the show, or will it come up later in the series?
