GI Joe: Rise of Cobra
So, saw the GI Joe movie tonight.
I liked it.
And, loved how they worked in the two catch phrases, "Yo Joe!" and "Knowing is half the battle."
I understand need for the uniforms to all match, so I liked the little touches they added. Like Heavy Duty's earring, the update of Scarlett's crossbow, how they turned Baroness's glasses into high-tech glasses/sunglasses/HUD...
One of my pet peeves... They never explained how the Joe's know about the nanomites controlling people... It was never explained... Duke just knew.
And, nanomites? What, are they the pygmy cousins of nanites?
I liked the fact that the climatic battle was underwater. It was different than the usual.
I'm kinda upset that they turned a delisiously evil kick-ass woman into what ended up being mind-controlled. [sigh]
Even though, having it being very hard to get rid off all those nanomites, she could be evil again... :)
And, Destro ending up with the metal 'mask'. [sigh]
But, all in all, an enjoyable couple of hours.
Will have to buy the DVD...
