Yeah, that was pretty much the deal with Honey - but she didn't get a collar :) They said don't let her jump. How the heck do you keep a kitten from jumping if it wants to? :)
As opposed to our Bitty who staggered around like a drunk and slept and slept and slept the first night home. The next day she was back to her perky little self.
I've only had dogs, but the collars *are* a royal pain! My dog's had surgery on her back leg twice, and both times she worked her way around the collar to pull her stitches out. My hubby & I have reluctantly gotten rather good at patching her back together with butterfly bandages & super glue! (Not something I had aver considered to be a good first aid technique, but we got compliments from the vet both times!)
Her reaction to the neutering anaesthesia, though? She threw up in the car on the way home & sacked out for the next day. Maybe Norrington's like those folks who get wired from Benadryl! *grin*
