Being in the medical field, I've been the guinea pig for all the braces out there. I've probably tried them all. From the $20 ACE ones to the $40-50 ones that look almost like your lacing your arms up for boxing...

They say you shouldn't depend on braces that have a metal bar in them as support, since if worn too much, it could cause the muscles to atrophy... I adore the WrisTimer ones. Mostly because all other braces make my arms sweat.
Daytime is basically a compression for the wrist area with a loop that stops your hand from bending down to far. Nightime is a very comfortable, squishy brace that the only hard part is on top of your hand.
And, it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get a set of each.
In fact, I need another daytime one so for the rare days both my wrists hurt, I can actually wear two...
Over the years, I kept misplacing and re-buying my nighttime ones, so I think I actually have four pairs of them!
