So, because I had two events to go to yesterday, I requested the day off at work.
Which meant I get my days off seperate (I worked 7 days on, got a day off, work 5 days, get a day off), but I think it was worth it.
One of my favorite restaurants, El Indio, had it's closing party on Saturday. So, in the afternoon,
Ithildyn and I decided to go.
Turns out, that since they're closing, their drinks are very generous. I think Ith's maragrita was triple strength!
Anyway, we had to leave to get to the bus for
Ventana Vineyard's 30th anniversary party. When we checked in, they gave us wine.
By the time we finished the 45 minute bus tour, we had probably the equivalent of two glasses of wine.
And, the wine kept coming.
Not only did we have muchos awesome wine, but they had strawberries perfectly ripe, tri-tip done to perfection... It was all awesome!
Then, afterwards, we went back to our resturant going away party.
By the time we go there, the kitchen was closed, but the bar wasn't! I ordered a tequila I remember liking, but they were out. So, I ok'd them giving me the tequila they had left (Patron Anejo). And, when I asked for lime slices, they were out. They were out of all citris.
That's okay, I can drink without them, I just prefer my shots of tequila with lime slices.
Then, they bring my drink. If I had a photo manipulation program on the laptop, I'd show you the cup they brought me (along with some pictures I took at the Ventana event). But, I don't, and the pictures are huge without cropping...
Anyway... They had run out of shot glasses, so my tequila shot came in a kid's glass (It was plastic, and had aliens playing games around it).
And, we discovered why they had run out of alcohol. (Of course, the triple-strength margarita from earlier should've clued us in...) For the price of one shot, I got a triple shot! D-a-mn!
side note - I also have some really cute Norrington-kitten pictures, including a size picture (my hand against his back), a picture of him sprawled down my legs, and a picture of him curled up with my apalca slippers... But, again, I need a Paintshop Pro like program to crop the pictures (which I don't have on the laptop)...
Maybe later this week...
