Work Funny that became a Parents Funny

At work, we sometimes play 'name that tune!'. But, usually, it's name that singer.

So, the other day, 'Sweet Home Alabama' by Lynyrd Skynyrd came on. I asked who sang it...

Direct quote:

coworker: "Hanson?"
me: "No, honey. They weren't even born when this song was recorded..."

And, then, I proceeded to laugh... a lot...

So, since my parents are big Lynyrd Skynyrd fans, I had to share that... I emailed it off to my parents (and my brother as well). Today, I got a reply from my mom:

Thanks, that was pretty funny, but funnier still I had to tell your Dad who Hanson was. You know that he never listens to anything that is younger than 30 years ago.

I can't stop laughing...
