Acrylics...
I love acrylic nails... Not only do they let me have long nails (I'm very hard on my nails, with all the typing I do), but acrylics mean I can actually wear nail color for more than 48 hours without it chipping...

So, even though it is moderately expensive, I do love my acrylic nails!
They are currently painted a pale purple. I always get a white tips when I do a new set of nails, so for the first three weeks, I have no nail polish. But, it's been three weeks, and the white bits are too long to look natural. So, I must paint my nails. Oh, woe!
Three coats later, they are a pretty, pale purple metallic...
