I got a call from the GeekSquad that Yoshi, my former laptop, was D.E.D. Ded. But, since I had a full warranty, They had me come in to pick out a replacement.
And therefore, I beam to you now from HEYDAR, my new laptop. HEYDAR (a Middleman! reference) is an ASUS 14.1" laptop with a nVidia GEForce 9300M GS 512 MB graphics card, a Intel Centrino card, and real actual amounts of RAM (4Gb instead of 512Mb, which I had before). It also has a built-in webcam, which will be great for Skype! With the new compy, I should be able to once again investigate MMOs and computer games.
Also, since I got it just yesterday, it comes with a free upgrade to Windows 7 when it comes out. I'm hoping that with the better RAM, I won't mind Vista's resource hogging too much.
