Barenaked Ladies FTW!

The BNL show last night was Awesome.

Best thing about a BNL show? I know all the songs. And fortunately for me, the overwhelming majority of the set list came from what I'd call my favorite BNL songs. Also fortunately for me, that list is a long one. They did not one but two encores, to the degree that when they came back for the second encore, they asked "What do you want to hear?" -- they'd obviously not planned to do two encores. :)

Among the songs played were One Week, It's All Been Done, If I Had $1,000,000, Never Do Anything, Angry People, Maybe Katie, Too Little Too Late, Get In Line, Pinch Me, Wind It Up, The Old Apartment, Brian Wilson, and The King of Bedside Manor.

They also composed a song on the spot about the port-a-johns off Stage left ("Anytime Portables,") as well as a funk number spawned by an amusing mistake. They had a new person writing the set lists, and he wrote "Get It Live" instead of "Get In Line" -- so they played both, including the brand new composed-on-the-spot "Get It Live". :P

The Barenaked Ladies are consummate performers who obviously love to entertain. And surprisingly, I had a voice this morning despite cheering my heart out and singing along to everything. Props to imnotcrazyjoon for keeping me entertained the whole way back from Elizabeth, IN via mobile phone winning.
