First and foremost - has anybody been outside today? Man what a beautiful day. I'm tempted to say I enjoy days such as today more than a spring day because it feels like mother nature is giving us a freebie.
So I went out and bought all kinds of crap today (maybe that's another reason I'm feelin so good) Originally my bro and I were gonna go to Media Play, but he's only got an hour between class and the anime club and I figured he'd wanna eat something so I went by myself. Anyway, I went to work and got my check, then stopped by the bank to cash it. The funny thing about the bank today is that they have some new policy to appear friendlier. Each teller has a sign saying that they have to give you a golden dollar if they don't refer to you by name. Personally I think that's too forced, because who knows how many people are going to try to cheat those poor tellers out of a dollar just to get one, ya know? I wasn't going to hold the girl to it, but she called me Ken (which I haven't gone by since junior year when I switched back to Keny) and not Kenneth (which I use on my bank forms - sounds more grown up lol) Either way, she smiled, so it was all good.
Then I drove up to Target to pick up some "necessities". I also got more pop for work and home (living off generic cola doesn't cut it) and some chips and cookies. I got to the check out and the cashier was also very nice (2 for 2, not bad so far). She asked if it was nice outside, so I asked if I would ruin her mood by saying it was nice out, but thankfully she was almost done so I told her how wonderful it was outside. It reminded me of that line Jim Carrey used in Bruce Almighty "It is a B-E-A-utiful day." (Go rent that movie if you like his work - not as outlandish as ace ventura, but still very funny)
After that I went to Media Play because I got a coupon in e-mail for bonus points (THEY HAVE A PEPPER BAR) I got the new volume of Inu-Yasha and another anime called Read or Die - it got a good review from my bro, but then again how many animes are there about libraries (he works at a library too). I also got the 6th season of Friends - finally. I was talking to the girl at the check-out there about how cool Friends is (3 nice cashiers in one day - unheard of)
I was going to head home after that when I decided to head back to the store (by the store i mean my store ... well, not MY store, but the comic shop I work at) and was going to pick up a new gaming book, but it turned out that only copy we had was being held for somebody. However, if they don't want it, I get first dibs :) Otherwise I'll special order one, no big deal, my gaming group isn't playing DnD for a few weeks, so there's no rush either way.
Today was a really nice break from the past few days, which have been rather hectic at work, but then again what work isn't hectic. Either way I've got a full day of card games tomorrow, with Yu-gi-oh in the morning then chillin with my Pokemon peeps in the afternoon. Should be another good day.
Well, you guys digest all that while I go back to my TV.
