Fooling Mode [locked to that_somebody]

Kabuto smiled. His little hut was becoming quite the battleground. He ought to have a ring instaled. But for now, there was just a large clearing in which they could fight.

Sora wandered in pretty lazily, looking relaxed and not particularly alert--he was just busy taking everything in. He smiled a little to himself, looking around for Kabuto so they could share a formal hello before getting down to sparring and the like.

"Hello there!" Kabuto smiled. He didn't mind pleasantries, indeed, he was far more interested in information than in fighting.

"How are you today?"

Sora waved, nodding in place of greeting.

"Not too bad! I just got done with a bunch of shopping for someone in the Nexus." He gave a great stretch at that, working out the kinks in his back. "How about you?"

"Oh, I've been chatting with a few acquaintances of mine. Did you buy anything of note?"

[that_somebody]

"A bunch of stuff for some guy named Murdoc's birthday party, mostly. Booga said I could use some of the change though so I got myself and my friend some ice cream as well." Sora nods--truly a good shopping trip.

Kabuto nods politely. "Sounds like you enjoyed yourself." He walks over to the meadow and begins scratching lines in the dirt with his foot. "So then, shall we lay down the ground rules?"

Sora nods in agreement. It had been heavy but it had been pretty fun, too.

Stretching again, Sora smiles amiably. "Sure thing! Do you usually fight with a weapon?" He cocks his head to the side, letting his keyblade appear in his hand. "I usually fight with this..."

Kabuto takes out a throwing knife to show to Sora. "I use these on occasion, but mainly I fight bare-handed. I don't mind if you use a weapon, though."

Sora tilts his head to study the knife, nodding slightly. "Are you sure?" Sora's mainly concerned about hurting anyone--it was just a friendly sparr, after all--and he's maybe just a little too overconfident in his own ability.

"I trust that you can avoid doing too much damage, after all." Kabuto smiles, he's not very worried about injuries -- he's a med-nin, after all.

Sora laughs a little, nodding. "No problem."

One last stretch and Sora's almost slipping into a more ready position. "So...how do we decide the winner?"

"Well, we could go to first blood, but I'd like something a little more... interesting. What would you define as decisive blow?"

[that_somebody]

Sora taps the end of the keyblade lightly against his shoe as he thinks. "Back home my friend and I used to fight until somebody was on the ground and worn out. Sort of like a knock out, I guess." He nods a bit.

"Would that work?"

[ninja_doctor]

"That sounds fine." Kabuto walks to an area roughly in the center and silently begins his own preparations. "Any other rules you'd like to establish?"

((And I'll be off for about half an hour.))

Bouncing his head from side to side, presumably in thought, Sora at length shakes his head with a smile. "Nah, nothing I can think of."

Slinging his keyblade over his shoulder, Sora follows suit, fingers flexing on the keyblade's grip as he sinks into a defensive type position.

"Well then, shall we begin?" Kabuto has no intention of attacking yet, he wants to see just what Sora can do.
