Statements Lost: Changing people's minds since 1999!

Actually we've only been a tight band since 2003 (giggity)

Let me explain.

We recently played the Stand Up Comics Halloween Extravaganza. This year we covered The Beatles. It was a hell of a lot of fun.
A lot of people showed up; it was a great turnout. A good number of Danny and Mike's family turned out. One, in particular, was their Uncle Jim. From what Danny tells me, he's a hard man to impress. He's seen video footage as SL doing our own songs and probably wasn't the most awed he's ever been. It's with good reason too, we're not exactly impressive to someone who doesn't listen to that type of music. Anyway, Jim goes up to Danny after the show and says, "That was fucking amazing."
To add to it, Danny's father tells me that Jim had to change his mind about me. Apparently before the show Jim was saying that he didn't think I had the right kind of voice for this show and that SL should have gotten someone else to sing that night. Little did he know that punk music doesn't really showcase how well I can sing. BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! *ahem* pardon me.
So after the show he was thoroughly impressed with the band and with my singing. Good feelings. We've gotten nothing but great compliments and it's definitely a ego boost.
Man, it really was a nerve-wracker right before the show because we hadn't practiced altogether until that day. My drummer had a lot of scheduling conflicts, my bassist couldn't practice on days my drummer could and my two guitarists didn't learn anything until the week of. I, myself, didn't have all the lyrics down in my head. I'm not the biggest Beatles fan ever, so I was listening to them non-stop for like a month and a half. I still had some flubs during the show, but everyone had a good time and no one really noticed... or cared, rather.

In other news, things happened. Thanks for reading. The End

So one of my good friends is getting married in like... a year or something. All of us agree that we don't really like her that much. She doesn't even try to make an effort to have fun with us. It's really off-putting. To make matters worse, it seems that every time we're hanging out with him, he'll get a call from her and he'll all of a sudden look depressed. Like he'll get in trouble with her and have to leave. We're all pretty sure we're not going to ever see him after they're hitched.
It got me thinking. I have to think that I'd marry someone that would also get along with my friends. I would think that I would find myself attracted to someone that isn't volatile in any way; that I'd end up with someone that could be my friend as well as have a deep bond with.
Oh Tina Fey, why won't you answer my stalker mail!!!???

After my recent promotion at work, I feel respected. It's nice. After only 6 months I got moved up. I guess that's good. I like having the new people ask me for advice and how to proceed with a problem. When I took the job I was was under the impression I'd only be doing returns, but as it turns out I'm doing 3 jobs. Returns department, credit department, and something called account specialist. I should have demanded more in my raise, but I didn't realize at the time that I'd be doing 3 jobs.
Oh man! Me and someone I started with have rubber band wars. We have these giant rubber bands that we whip across the office at each other. Well, I got moved to another part of the office for my new position(s). So I decided to sneak close and shoot him. Unfortunately I accidentally pegged another person right in the side of the face. It was hilarious! It was lucky that I'm cool with the guy though. We had a good laugh.

A joke:
What is red and smells like blue paint?

Red paint.

Good night
