Where the Heart Is.

First of all, I should really report on the cheesecake that I made (with the help of others) the other day.

It turned out alright. Well, by "alright" I mean "edible" XD You could eat it... doesn't mean that it tasted too nice XD Well, actually, it was ok. It was kinda sour though, 'cos we put too much lemon juice in it, which also meant it was kinda gloopy. It was thus dubbed Simon Cheesecake as it is especially sour, like me XD

Today was mostly spent packing. Clothes were packed into a suitcase, with the help of Tim, at about 5am (because I was still up). And then whatever else I could manage to pack before my parents got here after I got up.

Me, Kev and Jackie joined my parents at Mei Mei for a late lunch. Poor Jackie had to sit there and listen to us babble on in Chinese for most of the time XD

Afterwards, we did more packing. My mum complained every minute of the time, as per usual. It was a little weird being the one who's leaving. After seeing everyone else leave and seeing them off, it was kinda odd being the one being seen off. So , after saying "thank you" to my room (I don't know why, I just felt like I should), I said the usual goodbyes to the people who came to see me off. If I don't see any of you again, I'll miss you guys as well as everyone else who didn't come today/who's already left.

I then spent about 2 and a half hours in the back of the 7-seater in constant danger of crushed by my PC monitor as well as the mountain of stuff on and around it XD I also texted Saz to see how she was doing. We ended up chatting about games for a bit, and I told her who there seemed to be a shortage of DS Lites in Japan as well. It was kinda nice ^_^

Home is... weird. See, we moved back to the house we were in before we moved closer to the shop. So I'm back in the house I pretty much grew up in, and I've not lived here for a good 2-3 years now. It's the same, but different. Not just the fact that the carpet's changed, furnishings have been added and others have been shifted around, but it also kinda feels different too. I guess this would have to do with how attached with living in Liverpool I got and how long it has been since I've set foot inside this house. For a while, it all felt kinda alien to me but that feeling seemed to fade from me after a nap and a shower. The only problem now is that I keep accidentally walking into my sister's room, 'cos she now has what used to be my room and I have what used to be the spare room. So, on habit, I'd walk in there after coming up the stairs or out the shower or something XD

Also, my sister appears to be terribly vocal while playing Mario Kart DS. She also watches the World Cup (though only to see people get injured by each other, apparently) and actually understands the offside rule. And that makes her more of a man than I am, it seems.

I think I'll call it a day here then.

G'night.
