I finished it but it's still too large to upload to livejournal. It's only 27 frames I didn't think that would be so much, even when I reduced the colors. :\

How large do you make the animated size?
Usually i make below 20 frames. But 27 is okay enough :D

25 frames at the lowest color setting, it's still 45, I'm going to yank my hair out!

LOL! I was having a problem like you before. Than i make my animated pict smaller. You know. Not the size of kb. But the size of the icon. Guh how do i say it. You know, like my userpic. It's 80x48

I took out some frames but it looks awful with so few colors, I might remove the outside text.
