Drabble: Six Flags

Six Flags
Notes: This is quite possibly the fluffiest thing I've ever written. No wonder there are only 300 words of it.

Blaine gets the part at Six Flags. There's a mash-up of Rihanna and Maroon 5 to thank for it, which he realizes was probably a little much for an audition at a theme park once he sees the slightly stunned look on the casting director's face. Blaine smiles at him nervously as the man taps his pen off the folder holding Blaine's application, and stops himself from fist-pumping until he gets back outside.

Kurt, leaning against a wall near the entrance, looks up from his phone and raises an eyebrow. "Did you get it then?"

Blaine waves his new hire packet at Kurt. "Lead role! Rehearsals start next week."

Kurt smiles at him, a real smile-not the fake one that he uses around other people all the time. It makes Blaine want to kiss him, so he leans up and does.

Kurt's raising both eyebrows when he pulls back. "What was that for?" he asks.

"Nothing," Blaine says. "You were smiling."

Kurt gives him a weird look, but Blaine just grins. He's got a fun job and a cute boyfriend who's in love with him and there's only one week of school left before break so he doesn't have any homework and doesn't even have to look at his summer reading list until at least mid-July-everything is perfect.

"You're being weird," Kurt says as they trek back out to the parking lot. It really is a long walk to the front entrance of the park and with it still closed on weekdays, everything is strangely quiet.

"No, I'm not."

"You're skipping."

"Skipping is fun. Skipping is awesome. You should try it." Blaine spins around to walk backwards, reaching for Kurt's hand and tugging him forward. Kurt trips into him, laughing.

"You're just happy you have a job," Kurt says.

"I am," Blaine says. He wraps an arm around Kurt, pulling him closer and leaning in to kiss him again. He's happy to have the job, but happier to have Kurt, really.

kurt & blaine are totally awesome, glee, fic
