(no subject)
So I haven't done an update in a bit, guess I should.
I've been working ALOT. As of april 1st, my department is down to half staff. This means working 5 days a week 10-12 hours a day. This has left me with very little time, but the potential for a goodly amount of overtime. What little time I have had has been taken up with the new boy in my life. Those who have been around me in the last month or so have probably heard enough about that. :) Lets just say he makes me very happy.
The working lots has put off my apartment search. I'm now looking at beginning of july at best, unless something perfect shows up. Perfect being somewhere between westbrook and buxton with 1+ bedrooms, accepts cats, has a clawfoot tub, and is in a decent neighborhood with a yard big enough for an archery range. That would be perfect.
The other side of working lots is a lowering of my spending inhibition. :) I seem to be indulging my childhood memories. Firstly is the sugar bowl I picked up. It is made of Melmac. I clearly remember mom having a green serving dish made of the stuff. So I have gone on a spree of finding pieces to match my bowl. I have a serving dish on the way and have bid on a creamer and small bowl as well as a small dinner set. I blame Camille for the last.
Secondly I finally picked up a copy of a book I read as a child. 'The tinker's wife and the cave of black cats' by margaret and mary baker. The copy I got also has 'the silver crown' by them as well. it is signed to boot! :) I clearly remember the book. I had read it while waiting in a doctors office. The illustrations are all 'papercut' and still vivid in my mind. More so now that I have refreshed it.
