I'm now wondering if they tell you a dog has been adopted in the way that children used to be told that their dog had gone to live on a farm...... I'm sure he's fine.
You have been very busy! I've only half made one thing using felting technique (a very small blue tit) and I stabbed myself repeatedly which got me quite cross so I've not finished it. Maybe I should dig it out! You have a lot of lovely things to sell - I hope it goes well!
I thought exactly the same thing when I read the letter, but when they put my first dog to sleep, they did say so, so I think they're probably telling the truth!
Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who stabs herself, LOL! Painful, isn't it? Does your blue tit have a polystyrene core? I haven't tried doing it with polystyrene.
Your needle felting is gorgeous. My late friend Anne used to make beautiful needle felt pictures and cards, and I have often thought it would be a lovely thing to be able to do; sadly she is no longer around to teach me as she was killed in a climbing accident. Making 3D animals looks complicated but fascinating.

I bought the felting part (of the enormous pile of stuff I needed) as a kit (though I think it was quite a bit cheaper when I bought it) and just used their instructions. The needles seem to last forever, but I get through the pads very quickly.
LOL, I know what you mean! I have just sent for another book that includes patterns for some animals with bodies! Trikotri does do one, but you have to send to Japan for it and it works out very expensive.
I think Dog’s Trust had to do a lot of work with Seamus before he could be put up for adoption. The letter says, “You may remember I have a history of being very protective over my things…” (LOL, imagine being the writer!) “I started by spending some time with an experienced foster carer…”
What fun hobbies! And so adorable little felt animals. They look amazing, I hope you have had a lot of fun doing them (and since you've done so many, I'm assuming you have!). I hope they sell well if you are able to sell at P2s Christmas fair. And Cabbages and Kings is a fantastic name, just whimsy enough for cute felt animals at a Christmas fair.
(And I know it's barely even November, but talking about future Christmas fairs is putting me in the mood, hence the off-season icon.)
