I'm setting off on holiday tonight -- a week in Krakow with my brother and sister-in-law -- so I've been very stressed, what with deciding what clothes to take, washing them, packing them, weighing my suitcase, finding my passport and travel insurance -- nearly forgot those! -- cleaning the fishes and clearing out the fridge, and doing all those

Have you ever done your own picked red onion? I go through phases where I love it, and I want to start picking it myself I just never get around to do it!

I hope you have a great time in Krakow, as you always do! I can't wait to see the photos and relive my time there (though I am sure it will look different in the wintertime). And if you try out the vegan place I mentioned, I really want to know what you thought of it! :)

No, I’ve never pickled red onions. I’ve pickled little white onions, & they came out ok. I think I heated up the vinegar with spices...

It’s quite cold at the moment but that suits me. The Christmas market starts on Saturday, so it will be much busier then. I’ll look out for the vegan place - do you remember what it’s called?

I'm sure it will! It is called Bhajan Café. It's a bit "out of the way" depending on where you are staying, but I found it while walking along Stradomska, towards the Kazimierz quarter (and why yes, I did have to google everything!).

Not rubbing it in, but if you lived in a London borough, you would get a 60+ oyster card from 60 which gives you free travel on buses, underground and some Overground rail.... it lasts until the freedom pass kicks in.  Love mine!!!!

I have an Oyster card but, of course, it’s a normal one. Very annoying!
